Process: Pre-Production and En Utero Marketing

editing self-publishing
Flotsam - Pre-production
- Working through the proofreading edits, reviewing and applying to my master Scrivener pile. Amassing questions/clarifications to send to the editor.
- Sent material to cover illustrator for her review to begin (!). Target deadline to have cover art is Mid-March.
Flotsam - En Utero Marketing
- √ Created a new mailing list sign-up page on the website.
- √ Added links to sign-up page on Facebook (top-right button, left-column widget).
- √ Set up MailChimp/Google Analytics link.
- √ Set up Email signature with link to Sign-up page.
- √ Added tracking progress bars to right-hand widgets of my blog. Flotsam's includes a CTA to sign up.
- Waiting to hear back from sales copy professional. May follow-up from a different address, in case of spam issues.
- Create a better landing page and then pin a tweet about signing up.
- Set up a MailChimp auto-response.
- Set up a sample chapter and book funnel link and an additional MailChimp campaign.
- Look into auto-responder campaigns for new subscribers (or potentially a different email marketing platform).
- Ask certain people in my contacts to sign up or recommend me to a friend, repeat until I get 10 people.
Phantom Traveler - Pre-production
- Critiquing within Critique group to bank credits toward a second beta-read of vignette 1
- Will probably revise vignettes 2 and 3 in order to provide a longer MS for review (gets reviewers more credit for their own bank).
- Waiting on banner image for Patreon.
There's a lot more than this going on across the board, but I've covered it in further detail in my Asimov Hour journals and this is the current actionable list.
